Seeking Help

It can be difficult to speak up and ask for help. Others would say that you are confident and put together.  Often, you’re able to keep up that mask and many people think you’ve got everything together. Or you are “functionally depressed” where friends and family sing praise of how you are handling your depression. You do not have to do this alone.  It’s not easy admitting that you feel incapable of completing the tasks you once enjoyed.
If this is you, it is important you do not try to tough it out alone. Depression can be treated; you and your therapist will develop a plan and goals to achieve along the way. Your counselor will help you identify triggers and build confidence to live the life you want to live. You are not alone in this and visit us, so we can help you through your depression.
